I love pictures and have lots of them. I want to share my pictures and the story behind them. The stories will help to keep the memories fresh and the love alive.
This is a picture of Sarah taken by the professional photographers at the 2011 Raleigh Starpower competition. I bought my Nikon D90 and have taken photography classes in hopes of capturing these images! As competition season is about to begin, I dream of the perfect shot.
I took a photography class last year from The Light Factory and learned a lot from them and I hope to take the intermediate class this year. My photography skills greatly improved and I hope to continue the learning and improvements. Photography takes practice and patience. I'm working on both. :)
I was working with my new camera to catch some good action shots. I now need to get the same clear shots inside in a dance competition. That will be my challenge.
The first person in my life was my Mother. I find it only fitting that my first post on my new blog of picture memories be of her. I miss her every day and wish she was here still with us. She was very involved in my kids lives even though she lived 7 hours away. I know she would still enjoying watching the girls dance and love that Tyler is doing well in college. I still think of her and want to give her a call to let her know about something new going on.
